How to prepare the booth -1

(一)Booth Staffers’ Attitude

Ok , Listen up , becuase I ‘m going to talk about trade show booth etiquette.

You mean how you should act around customers?

Yes.It’s an important thing to consider, especially since being an exhibitor at a trade show represnets a signficant amount of money and time for your company.

Isn’t it the same as dealing with customers in a store?

To some extent, yes, However , a trade show is really a different ball game.

How so ? Isn’t just about getting customers interested , generating leads and closing deals as best you can?

At a trade show you’ve got numerous booths side-by side. Talk about dog-eat -dog competition.

So how can we stand out and grab people’s attention?

You need to convey a welcoming feeling to customers.

I guess a smile goes a long way.

You got it .But there’s a lot more to it than that.

Such as?

For one thing, don’t sit-stand instead. And don’t fold your arms .

Why not?

This type of body language is all wrong ,You’re sending a subtle, Unfriendly message. You want to convey a sense of openness and warmth. You didn’t want potential customers to feel they are intruding on your space.

(二) Motivating Your Booth Staffers

Now, I know that staffing the booth is a lot of work, It’s certainly no walk in the park.

You can say that again. We’ve got to put in 10-hour shifts, and on the weekend, to boot. I can think of other things I’d rather be doing on Saturday and Sunday.

Sure, and the company appreciates all your hard work. In fact, they’ve come up with an incentive program that I think you’ll appreciate. It’s a guaranteed morale booster.

Incentives ? I’m all ears.

Here’s the deal: for each solid prospect generated or each sale made, a staffer is given a ticket for a price draw.

What’s the prize?

An Ipad.

Now you’re talking !

On top of that, the staffer who generates the most leads willget a cash bonus at the end of the trade show-US$500.

That’s nothing to sneeze at .I know that will do wonders for my motivation.

Yeah, It’s not too bad at all.

This upcoming trade show is a big deal, so your employer is countingon you to give it your all.

We’ll certainly give it our best shot.

That’s the spirit! That’s exactly what I wanted to hear .
